Meet Jane Jarman, a Positive Approach to Care® Certified Independent Trainer, Consultant, and Advanced Consultant

Jane has over 12 years of experience working with persons diagnosed with dementia and consulting with families. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon and holds a B.S. in Psychology. As a certified dementia education trainer and consultant with Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care®, she provides learners with opportunities to build skills, awareness techniques, and effective communication strategies to deepen their understanding of dementia.

As a PAC Trainer, Jane teaches healthcare and professional organizations dementia awareness, understanding different ways to communicate with a person based on where they are in their dementia diagnosis, and skill building in order to create connections. She provides a better understanding of persons living with dementia and the brain changes they are experiencing.

As a PAC Consultant, Jane works closely with families and care partners to understand the challenges and needs of their loved one. Care partners will receive education and support so they may be empowered to provide the best care based on the physical, emotional and social needs of their loved one. Jane also focuses on ways of being pro-active as a care partner so they may maintain their quality of life and health.
